"We had a rough old night last night - wind gusting to 40 knots, and an extremely disturbed sea. No one got any sleep, so we've been recovering today. Despite this we've made great progress, and should get to Raratonga after lunch tomorrow. We've had strong winds all day so the boat has been flying.

"We haven't seen Gordon the gecko for a few days, but neither have we seen any cockroaches, so we assume he's still active. Our only worry is that all the grub might turn him into a Komodo dragon."
