The fates gave us a reprieve.

At 11:00 last night I was on anchorwatch in the cockpit when a 35 knot squall with heavy rain came through - but after that the skies cleared, the wind dropped, the stars came out in all their glory, and the weather changed.

Today we had a wonderful day - 15-20 knots of wind and a cloudless sky. We left Lizard Island at 0530, and had a fantastic sail to Flinders Island - 84 miles in 11 1/2 hours.

It looks the same tomorrow, when we will sail another 55 miles to Morris Island. So we are making great progress.
