We've enjoyed every minute of our stay in Bali. Out to a fish-restaurant a couple of nights ago in Nusa Dua, courtesy of Paul and Gunnhild, Mazy's guests, and spent yesterday on Kuta Beach - fantastic breakers for surfing. Still pretty touristy, but all very good natured. We set off at 0900 tomorrow, when if our calculations are correct we should pick up a strong northerly tide to whisk us up the east coast of Bali, and we then head off-shore about 140 miles to the Kangean islands. We will be travelling in loose company with 5 or 6 other boats. Still no whiff of trouble here, but of course Bali is Hindu, so it's unlikely we'd get any. Anyway, we're going to be cautious and careful. Home | Top | < previous | next > |
