After being penned in to for three days by heavy weather, we are making an overnight dash for Safaga, 70 miles north-west. The wind has dropped, and although the sea is very lumpy, it's perfectly manageable. Safaga is a port of entry and exit, and Richard and Sue will at last be able to escape. They've been fantastic crew (as have all our guests) and we've had a great time together. (Whether they feel the same way is up for discussion). Safaga is the Red Sea Rubicon - once you've passed it, generally the worst is over. We now understand why the Red Sea has such a bad reputation. Home | Top | < previous | next > |
