From Amalfi we have moved on to a massive marina in Ostia, and this is where we are leaving the boat for the time being. From Amalfi we sailed along the gorgeous Amalfi peninsular coast, past Positano and Capri (where apparently it costs 150 Euro to tie the boat up for the night - we didn't even go in) and we spent the first night anchored in a lovely bay off Procida, the small island next to Ischia. The next night we were in Gaeta, and then a night anchored off Anzio before we finally arrived in Ostia. Ian and Mary Anne Sutherland have joined us for a week, and we will be returning home courtesy of Ryanair on 05.07.03. Health updateMie's hand is much better, though still a bit discoloured and swollen, and not yet pain-free. There's no question she had a nasty bash. I'm also much improved. My broken ribs are becoming a thing of the past (except when I sneeze) and my broken clavicle has been completely forgotten. My axilla has fully healed although I'm left with an area of anaesthesia, so I guess the edge of my brachial plexus was nicked. My back is also much better, although I still have quite a bit of pain, especially for some reason when I wake up in the morning. The main legacy of my accident is that for the time being I have lost my usual agility. As a rule I delight in leaping onto pontoons, jumping into dinghies and generally not behaving my age, but for the present I am definitely 62! But on balance the old couple are coping pretty well.
