A wonderful day in Athens. Took the Hydrofoil at 08:00 and were in Piraeus by 9. Then took the Metro (what a contrast to our underground: clean, fast, quiet and efficient) then spent most of the day on or round the Acropolis. The Partheneon was one of those places you think you are going to be disappointed with as it all seems so familiar. But in fact we were spell bound by it and loved every minute.

Came back in the hydrofoil in time for a beer and yet another Souvlaki and chips.
We're going to head on west tomorrow.
